Eco Soma TREE CODES

Tree Codes is an Eco Somatic Immersion to deepen our embodied relationship with Trees

Taungurung Country, Bailieston & Nagambie Victoria

Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 January 2023

Book Here

Working in somatic relationship with nature supports us to regulate our nervous system, attunes us into greater sense of Being and Belonging that in turn provides meaning and purpose on a soul level. With nature we are reverent. This is holy work, a ceremony of reuniting nature as wise elder, reminding us how to live in harmony and balance with the natural world.

The Intention is to cultivate deeper relations with trees and nature, caring for country through a felt sense and embodied knowing that we are made of earth. Healing, renewal and deep system rest can be experienced through physical connection with the natural world. Through respiration, nervous system symbiosis, blood-sap-marrow connection and more, we will practice different ways of being in relationship with trees.

Our care and attention to our own physical body is reflected in how we care for Earth and vice versa.

Tree Codes creates the space to practice caring for your own body in context of caring for body of earth.

Meet the land.

115 acres of Trust for Nature bushland, full of protected flora and fauna species.

Meet the community.

Willow Conway

https://www.willowj.com/

I have 25+ years of yoga, theatre, movement & dance practice and 15 years of teaching yoga, theatre skills, burlesque, feathered fan dancing, cabaret chair dancing, solo performance, sensual dance and embodied movement practices. As a teacher my aim is to allow and provide space for students of all levels to practice and experience the many benefits that movement, dance and yoga has to offer, for students to let go, go within and explore in a safe and nurturing environment.

My personal practice in yoga began in 1990 when I was drawn deeply into the traditions of both Iyengar and Ashtanga. With a 350hr Yoga Teaching Training certification, I teach from traditional roots of yoga incorporating breath (pranayama), poses (asana - both moving and static poses) and meditation to help participants experience connectedness through integration of the mind, body and spirit. Yoga has profoundly enhanced my life and theatre/dance practice, providing techniques on how to become more present and step into 'being' as opposed to 'doing.'

I have taught a wide range of dance and theatre practices to1000's of people, not only in Australia but also in Japan and USA. As a dancer and actor I have worked extensively in various disciplines including theatre, film, TV, burlesque, cabaret, butoh, clowning and contemporary dance. In 2002 I discovered the joy and freedom of Burlesque, strutting and stripping my way around the globe and in 2016 was crowned Miss Burlesque Australia!

As a passionate teacher and performer I am dedicated to sharing skills with others, to assist students in finding the joy and healing energies that yoga, dance, and movement practices bring. I have witnessed so many students gain many positive benefits from these practices, and I am committed to holding space for students to explore, discover and enjoy these benefits!

Paul Stevens: I've been practicing yoga for nearly 30 years and now teach regular Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation classes. Mantra singing is one of my favourite practices, having powerful mind/body benefits and opening the heart to joy and peace.

…………………………………………………………………..

Jessica Lyons: I've sang all my life and formally studied classical voice. After such structured learning I went on a journey to discover what my authentic voice sounds like. Kirtan has played a big part of that unfolding. Mantra meditation and Kirtan, for me, is a way to connect with my body and my best self. I've been involved with leading Kirtan in Melbourne for about 5 years now.
